Perfect for entertaining, these easy tartlets can be prepared ahead of time and then reheated or served at room temperature.

Ingredients:

  • 3 onions, thinly sliced

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 240 grams Woolwich Plain Goat Cheese

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme

  • 1 sheet frozen Puff Pastry

  • 4 tablespoons honey

Directions:

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.

  • Place olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add onions and cook, stirring occasionally, until onions have caramelized, about 35 minutes. Season with salt and allow to cool.

  • While the onions cool, mix the Woolwich Plain Goat Cheese with the black pepper and thyme in a small bowl. Set aside.

  • Place the puff pastry on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Spread the goat cheese mixture onto the puff pastry, leaving a 1/2 inch border on all sides.

  • Top the tart with caramelized onions, then drizzle with honey. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown.

  • Allow the tart to cool for 10-15 minutes, slice into 12 even portions and serve warm or at room temperature.
